Giant oarfish

Fishermen hold a 4-meter-long giant oarfish hauled in off the coast of Taimali Township in Taitung County, southeastern Taiwan. It is said that the appearance of the rare fish coincides with earthquakes, as experienced in the form of a magnitude-5.6 temblor and series of aftershocks in eastern Taiwan the night before. (CNA)
